Is There a Worldview for Agile?

I'm constantly surprised why agile people are surprised that this is what happens. I just don't, it's just like it's totally obvious. Like if you say, oh, you should break your stories down. Okay, how much should we break them down? You know, maybe like a day. Yeah. It's no wonder that this stuff gets turned into like these sort of like rules of thumb things that you just follow and do blindly without thinking about what they are.
