The Risks Women in Afghanistan Are Taking
Many Afghan women leaders have gone into hiding to protect themselves and each other. They were at risk, I mean, on the front lines because they were particularly outspoken against the Taliban. The fact that they can't come out and speak and protest is a very scary climate. And we should be listening to those Afghan women who are using social media,. whether it's Twitter or TikTok or whatever, to talk about what is happening.
