Young People Are the Disruptors
When I reached my early 30s as a table tennis professional, I started to lose to younger, faster, seemingly more fearless adversaries. This pattern of success, an acceleration to a peak, and then long-term decline is frankly rather terrifying. Young people are branded as the disruptors, with skills that older generations can't even fathom - particularly in technology. With each new story about a new young innovator, the cultural insinuation that our potential has an expiry date feels ever more firmly entrenched.
