Fukushima plant superintendent massal yoshida summons an engineer to his desk. The engineer explains, just minutes ago, his team was able to improvise a way to vent steam from reactor one. They jury rigged an industrial air compressor with some spare parts from other machines. Steam came pouring out of the vent, the same thick white smoke that sheda had seen earlier.
