Will Chamberlain's Distribution of Resources

The state loves unreachable ideals, because it means they stay in business forever. They get to couch all their interventions in the soothing rhetoric of equality. What's happening in society is not a pile of wealth and a person standing on it with a bull horn, handing it out to everybody. That's not what happens at all. So redistribute implies that it was distributed in the first place. But it wasn't distributed, it was earned. There's no distribution involved in any aspect of that. The pattern will always change. You can never keep it stable. And so there will always be need for state intervention to re establish the distribution that makes the left happy. It can never be reached
