How Did the Monks Edit These Old Myths?
The Irish did a phenomenal job of curating much of the San Soretical Islands Old Testament, which is all these old myths and stories. In now in England, it was not encouraged that you would be seeking out what they would regard as pagan stories to keep you warm at night. The monks were told off if they invited in Celtic storytellers. So I think personally, and there's a fair amount of academic history to back this up, that actually there was a different kind of equilibrium between the Druids and what was already understood in Ireland with Christianity.
