Hitler's Words Have Been Read Out to Your Soldiers
Hitler tells his troops that they are part of the greatest military force in history. Britain and the Soviets have been conspiring to attack the Reich, Hitler tells them. An hour before dawn, a year to the day after the French surrender was signed at Compiène, the Germans cross the Russian frontier. It was also on this date in 1812 that Napoleon's troops did the same thing.
