Lucas: My dad actually had a huge impact on me by reading that book, Gertile Usherbach. I think it really sparked my imagination around how cool it would be if like machines could write their own programs and run them. And then when I was a teenager, I got really interested in this game, Go. But then I kept thinking about how you would build like an algorithm to play Go and the ones that would win a chess like really wouldn't work for Go. He says he wishes he'd done his undergrad in more CS instead of math.
