What Is Sovereign Blindness?
In the nineteenth chapter of luke, we come across what you could call sovereign blindness. Jesus approached jerusalem in verse forty one, saw the city and wept over it. And he said, if you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace, but now they have been hidden from your eyes foy. He's sovereignly blinding people who were born already blind. This is why we talk about the importance of understanding total depravity. We can't appeal to i was, by nature, born like this. There's no ground for judgment on that world view.
