Joe Biden: A Transformative President for the Democratic Party

Biden's image is more of a doddery old man who represents the past, you know, this kind of old Democratic Party. And he's just about keeping things together, but the party underneath him can't assemble the kind of coalition that he can. This is like the last gasp of some old party. I think it is both of those things in that it is a project of reinvention for the Democratic Party. But it's odd that this is being led by Joe Biden because on the one hand it's trying to transform America under Democratic leadership.
