How to Make Perception Algorithms More Efficient
Most of the research and most of the development that was happening around the world was really going into being more accurate. It's just not realistic that within a short time period everyone is going to have a huge GPU in the trunk of their car. So we wanted to remain very flexible with respect to that. And we started to look into how we could make these perception algorithms a lot more efficient. But this is definitely where we invested most of our time. The price point of aftermarket devices we knew we would have to go for something that's not expensive or even off an SDK to integrate into existing devices which are already in vehicles.
