Shorts are blowing up the last year. They're easier to produce, it means you can stay in front of your audience more and potentially keep viewers and gigs. It really also kind of helps to keep your baseline up, like you said, in between pieces of content keeps people coming back. So good for discoverability, good for subscribers. Anything else they're good for comes mine.
