The Case of the Polytechnic Institute in Italy and France
In france, a proposal to give more flexibility to teaching in languages other than french caused an incredible controversy throughout the country. In italy, there was a proposal to shift all graduate programs into english. And so that's what kept me working on this book. The original book was only going to look at europe and the united states. But then i started looking at post colonial countries, and i found that absolutely fascinating.
