Is Folly the Same as Sin?
Erasmus' Folly is a satire of the incomium form, in praise of something or other. He places Folly as related to marriage, which by 1509 is a sacrament. I see the response here more as a response to a sort of resurgent stoicism than it is to church doctrine necessarily at various points in the text.
