Antimicrobial Non-Formarial Medications - What Are Some Pet Peeves That Could Be Helpful?

I think infectious diseases specialists are some of the most friendly and collaborative people on the planet. So I haven't had a lot of situations where I'm left wishing that the interaction or the question like went better. But I do have a few like tips and tricks in a few areas that I think could help. The biggest one, especially on the inpatient side is non-formulary medications. Just please don't forget to loop us in as soon as that thought pops into your head. It just bugs me a little bit when people call stewardship the antibiotic police because even though it's mainly a joke, it has a little bit of a negative connotation.
