This week on the interview series, it's not my first conversation with Billy Corgan. It took place back in Auckland, New Zealand in the summer of 1994 at the very first ever Big Day Out Festival. Smashing pumpkins were on the bill and they just released their second album, Siamese Dream. After decades of huge success and some turmoil have returned with one of their most ambitious projects yet 33 songs over three different acts. This is a rock opera. People always throw that term around almost in a kind of dismissive way. If you're Billy Corgan it's a challenge and he's risen to it.
