Sonam Turned Into a Bird
i had just witnessed a transformation of a human into a bird and back again. David says it wasn't just a squawk. Sonom had this whole raven language of croaks and gutturals. And the way he moved his neck and head and arms, it's like he inhabited the body of this bird in a way that seemed barely now. Which might seem like some sort of conjuror's trick, but david doesn't see it that way.
