Risk Taking and Nonconformity in Politics

The United States prides itself on being highly entra pernurial. It has a whole narrative of individualism that i challenged later in the book. And one of the things i discovered, through my own crisis, but also doing a lot of research, was that risk taking require a measure of security - which sounds paradoxical, but isn't. When your life is really on the line, or the quality of your life, you you stop taking risks. You start being very conservative and holding on to what you have.
