The Inequities of Teaching in Title I Schools

I taught in Title I schools for 21 years, and this is the first year that I'm not in a Title I school. So many of the inequities have been staring me in the face more now that I'm out of it than when I was in it. That mindset you were talking out of staying late and coming in early, there's definitely a martyr aspect to it. In our district now Title one schools, those teachers are getting a small stipend. It's not huge, but it's something.
