I feel like there's a bit of a cop-out saying this, but it's really hard to tell because of what happened with COVID. But when you look at the overall level of imports coming into the UK from the EU, and this is quite interesting, they've actually bounced back of late. So teething troubles may be out the way. Who knows? On the other hand, the overall trade we do as a country with the rest of the globe is smaller as proportion of our GDP or income than it used to be. Global Britain isn't really open for business in the way the government holds.
