How to Create a Visual Style That's Unique
Joss: I went to grad school thinking I would become a science writer and then sort of soured on writing. The problem was that I didn't really have any video skills. But through experimentation and making a lot of bad videos, we landed on what I think is a pretty powerful form of communication. It combines narration with archive and animation, some field shooting and interviews. And eventually video just became a bigger part of what our jobs looked like.
