How Long Does It Take to Launch a Satellite?

Land sata has a requirement for five years minimum mission lifetime. But actually most of our satellites last a lot longer than that. The testing process alone, after the instruments are built and they're integrated on to the platform can take up to a year. Typically it takes about five, six, seven years to build a new satellite system. For lancs at nine, we were actually a little bit speedier, because lance at nine is almost a copy of lands at eight.
