TikTok blew up back in 2019, that's why we're really TikTok really kind of took off. YouTube really had to scramble when TikTok was going down. The reason why TikTok exploded so much also was because they accepted this short content. And then when it shut down and then YouTube tried to very clunkly roll out shorts, which was a big mess for a long time.
