The Influence of Avicenna on the Islamic World

Avicenna was the most influential thinker in the Islamic world. Very influential on Jewish philosophy, on Latin, Christian philosophy and so on. One possible explanation is he's a genius, he has the best philosophical ideas. So what other aspects of his work do you think explains how he became so influential? I'll be trying to explain later on but it doesn't seem too early to tackle that now.
