Sugamidex and Oral Contraceptive Pills

Higher doses of sugamidex are associated with increases in some of your coagulation studies more specifically your APTT and your PT and INR. However all the studies that we have showing that effect don't necessarily correlate with any type of clinical significance. Patients who are on oral contraceptive pills or any other type of non-oral hormonal contraceptive those patients need to be counseled to use a non-hormonal contraceptive method for the next seven days after administration of suGamidex. No as far as we know no actual increase in bleeding.
