The Democratic Party's Rhetoric on Crime
After the George Floyd protests, I do think that we saw a bit of a reckoning in the Democratic Party about how public safety shouldn't be addressed. A lot of that is influenced by the abolitionist movement and people talking about needing to reduce incarceration rates. We're now seeing Democrats less embracing of law enforcement and trying to sort of shift an narrative to addressing these root causes of crime which go far beyond policing.
