The upshot of the whole conflict was that the ashkago were reduced to mere figure heads. Their ability to control basically any thing outside of kioto itself vanished. There continued to be ashcaga show guns for about 100 years after this point, but they were little more than figureheads trotted out by one warlord or another who seized kioto. So why are we bothering to talk about yoshi masa at all, other than to just viciously dunk on how crappy of a ruler he was? Well, we're talking about him because there is it turns out one thing he did care about art and aesthetics.
