New York Expands Medicaid Coverage for Postpartum Individuals
New York's expansion will grant an additional 26,000 state residents eligibility to receive Medicaid and children's health insurance program benefits for a full year following pregnancy. By extending this coverage, it's possible that the United States could bring down its rate of maternal mortality. With the addition of New York around 509,000 Americans have access to extended postpartum coverage.
