What Prompted You to Write a Book?
"I don't have any social media. So to me, that's like, it's just surprising and foreign," he says. "It's incredibly freeing because my sense is I'm probably known enough that if I was on social media, it would be a really large cognitive footprint,. Right? The emotional footprint of that, that existence would probably right now be a major suck of mental cycles." He has been working on his book Deep Work for four or five years after writing the first in 2012.
