The Dark Ages and the Moslem Golden Age
Lucretius, for example, lived around 300 years after aristotle. Agreed with him on barely anything, including spontaneous generation. There are two terms i use somewhat often in the show that are pretty problematic: christian or european dark ages and the moslem golden age. They're reductive, they've been used to centre the european experience as privileged and special. But i could very well be wrong, i've thought a lot about this, but i don't entirely trust my instincts here,. so feel free to make the counter argument for me, please.
