The Inherent Challenges of Measurement

I saw this video ages go on Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario. He has a bizarre habit where he keeps a measuring tape in his pocket and he estimates he's very good at estimating the size of things. And I thought, what a bizarre hobby. I want to try and do that. So I had a thing for a while where I would keep this measuring tape with me and I did get better at it. You know, it's a skill you could, you showed me a pen and I'll just be like,Yeah, that's eight and a half centimeters. And then you check it and you're like, yeah, I was pretty close.
