The petri dollar is really important, especially in the 70s. I mean, the dollar was collapsing. The British pound still accounted for like a sizable amount of petroleum trade after it basically went to zero. So you have to know that there's two things happening here. One is a free market interest in having the dollar. But the other one is a political design and they're both important. They're both key for what we're about to get to.
