The Next Theme for Corporate America to Perform
We have had a earnings recession, a very mild one. Revenues for S&P 500 are at all-time record high; clearly it's been the profit margin. I see signs in weekly data that we monitor looking at forward earnings and forward revenues that suggest that analysts are seeing signs that profit margins are bottoming. My theme is the Roaring 2020s, which again, looked quite delusional over the past few years, but the decade isn't over and there's still time for it to run.
