The Floating Island, or Icebergs?
Churchill came up with the idea of making an aircraft carrier out of icebergs. His thinking was that planes could land on them, re fuel and then take off again to protect ships trying to cross the ocean. He wrote a huge report about it which he sent back to the powers that be. The plan is only possible if we let nature do nearly all the work for us - use as raw material sea water and low temperatures.
