Congruent Goals in Adolescents?
A conversion is a very typical experience that helps with identity development in the US especially, probably other primarily religious cultural context. So when people have a sense of kind of disintegrated self and they don't have a lot of coherence having religious conversion or a spiritual transformation can provide this higher order meaning system for them to organize their goals. But we found it was very difficult to get adolescents to engage our follow-up survey.
