Is There a Strategy Toward Violence in the Bible?

In mark chapter 13, in the middle of the apocalyptic discourse, jesus says to the disciples, look, this is going to happen to you too. That sort of social shame would reflect badly on jesus a whole household and could make it more difficult for them to live in the world. And i do think we need to be incredibly careful of where we take these texts. But i don't think that that means it gives us reason to commit acts of violence ourselves.
