The writers knew that kelly was going to sabotage the customer surveys because dwight and jim skipped her viewing party. But they couldn't figure out how the guys would realize this. That's when lester got the party favor mug idea. And then pared with the way stephen directed it, it's just so great. Yes, two great people working together making a great moment.
