The Different Objectives of Demonetization
Right now it is not demonetization. It is only withdrawal of the notes and value there of being given back to public. 2016 the action taken and 2023 the action that is taken there totally two different completely different actions into the 16 it was demonetization per se. The objectives of that time was totally different. That there are three broad objectives where there one is about tackling the black money, the other is about reducing chances factor is financing and eliminating chances of counterfeiting notes. But this time the objective is to withdraw the high denomination notes which have consistently come down in terms of volume. So to leave out further small volumes in the hands of the public will not be actually good.
