The Holy Sea and Vatican City

The Holy Sea is put simply the jurisdiction of the pope because the pope is also the Bishop of Rome. Vatican City, though, is in fact a bastion of defense against the infernal powers of Baldur's Gate and Dungeons and Dragons. The idea of the Holy Sea has always been very fascinating and elusive to me because it's spelled S-E-E.
