The Rise of Contractors in the US

These companies are growing up in a sense. They've become embedded in the US military industrial complex, but also have to make decisions based on what their shareholders want. That partly explains the whole rise in contractors as whole two tier employment system for mostly financial and liability-based reasons. It's kind of hard to see how a few tech workers rebelling against management could actually change the shape of the United States. But still, we don't know. And if it gets to the point where it's actually self-sustaining and it reaches a critical mass, then it could really, really change the landscape.
