"Knock at the cabin" is based on a novel written by Paul Tremblay. The film was sent to Film Nation before it was even published. M. Night Shyamalan's company Blinding Edge co-financed and produced, but then he wanted to direct it. "I never, ever would have imagined when writing the script that you would see one that would get such a big theatrical as it is," Tasha says.
