What Is the Meaning of Race in the Labour Party?
Most of the people in power would downplay how important race was as an issue. Conservatives might comment that it is easier to succeed if you're a woman or a person of colour in the Conservative Party than in the Labour Party. But I think it's been notable that most of the coverage focusing on the colour of Rishi's Sunak's skin has come from outside the UK. The question is one of policy and personality. If you were a Labour politician, you would see a different tone of coverage.
