The Story of Knosos
The exhibition is on until July that's when all of these amazing loans from Greece have to go back to the museums and storerooms where they came. In the exhibition we didn't just want to tell the story of Sir Arthur Evans and his excavation of Knosos we wanted to tells the story of the labyrinth how in Greek and Roman Knosos the myth is elaborated but then how Knosos dwindles down into a small village it almost disappears. Some of the finds in this exhibition were still in the ground 10 years ago so we're really showing how knosos is still an important archaeological site and there are still new things coming out of the ground.
