How Dorothy Thompson Got the Interview With Hitler?
Dorothy Thompson was head of the New York Post's Berlin bureau. She says she'd been trying for seven years, writing to anyone she could think of putting pressure on contacts. The Nazis come to power after all and she's stood in Europe or she's back in Europe to report. It probably didn't hurt that she was married to Sinclair Lewis, that she had a famous husband.
