"I can have 60 grand a year and 70 grand a year, right? Well above the average wage. But I feel poor," he says. "That's reality for thousands and tens of thousands of people." 'The political class have to see that,' Mr O'Farrell adds. ''It's your demand curve has shifted and your supply curve remains the same.' The idea of joining up the dots is what we need to do all the time - attacking vested interests.'"
