The FIA have dismissed Ferrari's request to review Carlos Sainz's penalty. The Spaniard was penalised for a five-second infringement on the final restart of the Australian Grand Prix after he plowed into Fernando Alonso. Lawrence: "Carlos dropped from fourth place all the way to last, which I think was 12 for the Zane 12 cars left" He felt that given that, it's completely unfair that he dropped from fourth to 12,. whereas in a normal race, a five- second penalty minor even dropped you one position, but it typically will drop you maybe one or something at the end.
