"There was a massive relief that i'd done all the training i could and there was no reason why i shouldn't go out there and perform so best of my ability," he says. "I remember thinking like oh fuck like that's what i thought at the time i thought like alister is unbeatable here", adds Brownlee, who won gold in his first ever triathlon. The pair were inspired by their brother Johnnie brownlee to train hard for London 2012 as they look forward to competing against each other again next year. They will also be taking part in an open-water kayak race on Sunday which has been dubbed 'the world's most exciting event'
