The Importance of Philosophy in the West
When we talk about theology academically we talk about, I'm going to go do theology. But it would be really interesting to bring back the language of 'I'm Going To Go Do Philosophy' It's not just the thing that I study, but it's a thing that's part of my life. We don't have schools of platonic academies and Epicureans were doing whatever the stoics were doing in the West. And what we have probably the closest for that is modern narcissism which moves more towards the religious side.
