An internalizer is someone who feels they have to take care of their parents needs. Emotionally mature people create relationships in which one person is dominant, and the other person is below them or not as important. An internalizer has been indoctrinated with the idea that they're not as important as the other person. So if you're upset, even if it upsets me, i've got to go in and calm you down, because you're the key to my survival.
