Variation Theory
variation theory is about the value of examples and non-examples. If there's just a couple of them it's much more difficult to spot similarities and differences between what is effectively one group, one concept that you're trying to convey. So perhaps maybe statistical learning is a better might be a better metaphor for what we were kind of saying Chris and the variation theory. But I'm still fairly confident that this pattern recognition which is at heart variation theory when they when an adult says to them, that's a dog, that'sa dog.
